The following items will be heard: A. Call to Order B. Pledge of Allegiance C. Roll Call D. Approval of the minutes from the meeting of April 5, 2017. E. New Business: Statement of Quasi -Judicial proceedings provided by the City Attorney's Office. All persons who will be addressing the Planning Board will be required to be sworn -in including the applicant, City Staff, and/or members of the public. ITEM 1. Quasi -Judicial - Public Hearing Case No.: 2-P-17 - Vacation of Easement Project Name: Woodmont Country Club Petitioner: Michael Vonder Meulen, AICP of Keith and Associates, Inc., Designated Agent for the property owner, Woodmont Country Club. Petition: Requesting approval of a Vacation of Easement petition to allow for the vacation of a portion of the 20' platted utility easement to allow the construction of the approved Clubhouse and Cart Barn buildings in conjunction with the Woodmont Country Club Masterplan project. Quasi -Judicial - Public Hearing Project Name: Publix at Sunshine Plaza Petitioner: Heather Jo Allen, Esq., of Dunay, Miskel, & Backman LLP., Designated Agent for the property owner, Sunshine MZL, LLC Case No.: 1-B-17 - Sign Variance Petition: Pole Sign at West Commercial Boulevard: to allow for relief from Section 18-25(19) of the City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances to permit a pole sign along West Commercial Boulevard, where pole signs are prohibited; and from Section 18-51(19)a dimensional requirements to allow (1) a maximum sign height of eighteen feet (18') where a maximum height of eight feet (8') is permitted; and (2) a maximum sign area of one hundred twenty (120) square feet where a maximum sign area of seventy-two (72) square feet is permitted. Case No.: 2-B-17 - Sign Variance Petition: Pole Sign at U.S. Highway 441: to allow for relief from Section 18-25(19) of the City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances to permit a pole sign along U.S. Highway 441, where pole signs are prohibited; and from the Section 18-51(19)a dimensional requirements to allow (1) a maximum letter height of twenty-four inches (24") where a maximum letter height of eighteen inches (18") is permitted; (2) a maximum sign height of twenty-one feet (21') where a maximum height of eight feet (8') is permitted; and (3) a maximum sign area of one hundred ninety-five (195) square feet where a maximum sign area of seventy-two (72) square feet is permitted. Petition: Approval of a Zoning Variance petition to allow for relief from Section 11-80)(3) of the City of Tamarac Code of Ordinances to allow for the installation of an enhanced landscaped buffer where a six (6) foot masonry buffer wall is required. Quasi -Judicial - Public Hearing Case No.: 1-SP-17 - Major Revised Site Plan Project Name: Colony West Hotel & Clubhouse Petitioner: Gisela Levy, of AD1 Tamarac Hotels, LLC, Designated Agent for the property owner, City of Tamarac, Florida. Petition: Approval of a Major Revised Site Plan petition to allow for the development of a one -hundred, twenty (120) room limited service hotel and the redevelopment of an eighteen thousand, one hundred, and thirty-five (18,135) square foot golf course clubhouse consisting of a golf cart storage building, related parking, and additional site improvements.
