The following items will be heard: A. Call to Order B. Pledge of Allegiance C. Roll Call D. Approval of the minutes from the meeting of May 3, 2017. E. Planning Board Disclosures F. New Business: Statement of Quasi -Judicial proceedings provided by the City Attorney's Office. All persons who will be addressing the Planning Board will be required to be sworn -in including the applicant, City Staff, and/or members of the public. ITEM 1. Quasi -Judicial - Public Hearing Project Name: Publix at Sunshine Plaza Petitioner: Heather Jo Allen, Esq., of Dunay, Miskel, & Backman LLP., Designated Agent for the property owner, Sunshine MZL, LLC Case No.: 3-B-17 (Sign Variance — Pole Sign at West Commercial Boulevard) Petition: Requesting consideration of a Sign Variance petition to allow for relief from Section 18-65(a)(1), Tamarac Code of Ordinances, permitting the installation of a monument sign along West Commercial Boulevard where a pole sign is currently provided along this frontage and one (1) monument sign is permitted per street frontage. Public Hearing Project Name: Community Development Block Grant Notice of Funding Availability and Notice of Meeting for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Petitioner: City of Tamarac, Florida Petition: Requesting review of the current CDBG activities; discussion regarding the CDBG application process, proposed needs, and priorities for the 2017 - 2018 Annual Action Plan; solicitation of input from the community regarding the needs of the housing community development that should be considered in an effort to determine how the CDBG funds should be utilized; as a part of the anticipated Home Rehabilitation Program.
