All board members are urged to attend this meeting. All meetings are open to the public. Any board member who cannot attend this
meeting should call the Public Art Committee Liaison at 954-597-3430. In the event there is no quorum for this meeting, the meeting
may be held as a Workshop instead of a Regular meeting, although no formal action may be taken during a Workshop.
Pursuant to Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Public Art Committee, with
respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, they may need to ensure that a verbatim transcript of the proceedings is
made which records includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
The City of Tamarac complies with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are a disabled person, requiring any
accommodations or assistance, please notify the City of such need at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Additionally, if you are

Meeting Minutes
November 15, 2022

Chair Brian Zambrano called the meeting to order at 4:340PM. He stated that the Public Art meeting is
recorded and open to the public. He wanted the members to be aware that any statements made were
public knowledge.
Approval of Minutes
Sandy Hill made a motion to approve the minutes of October 6, 2022, meeting. Toby Archer seconded it,
and they were approved.
Fiberglass Panther Sculpture Project
Another estimate for $18, 000 was provided to Brian Z for consideration of making a mold of the panther
sculpture. It was unanimously agreed that the cost is prohibitive to continue forward with the idea of the
fiberglass panther for Inspiration Way.
Skate Park
G & R brought before the committee to consider public art for the ramps at the skate parks. Brian
presented to the committee design patterns to do the floor at the skate park. Since the money for redoing
the floor is in next year’s Parks and Recreation’s budget, it was agreed to focus on doing the art on the
wall’s firsts. The call to artists for wall mural was finalized and will be prepared to go out with a due date
for February 2023.
Old Business
Fire Station Call to Artists
The committee agreed to move forward with a Call to Artists in the amount for $135,000 for Fire Station
#15. The draft call to artist was finalized and submissions will due in January 2023.

Dalmatian Sculptures
G&R updated the committee that the Dalmatian sculpture project for Fire Station # 36 is underway.
Colony West Art Review
An update on the wall art was presented to the committee. The work cannot be installed until after the
selection has been presented to the commission.
Inspiration Way Selection
The committee reviewed proposals for Inspiration Way and selected the following artists:
Teresa Camozzi
Matthew Hoffman
Luis Fernandez
Mary Angers
Gregory Johnson
Hanna Jurban
Antonio Flamanio
Kirk Keese
G& R will contact the artists to see if their sculptures are still available to exhibit.
The next meeting is scheduled for January 17, 2023.
