SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2012
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Talabisco called the special meeting of the City Commission to order at
10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in City Commission Chambers, Tamarac City Hall, 7525
NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, FL 33321 deeming Pamela Bushnell elected to serve as the Commission
Representative for District 1 and deeming Diane Glasser elected to serve as the Commission
Representative for District 3 and swearing in the Commissioners.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Beth Talabisco, Vice Mayor Diane Glasser, Commissioner Pamela Bushnell,
Commissioner Michelle J. Gomez and Commissioner Harry Dressler were in attendance.
Also in attendance were City Manager Michael C. Cernech, City Attorney Samuel S. Goren and
Interim City Clerk Patricia Teufel.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Beth Talabisco led the Pledge of Allegiance.
1. TR12260 - DEEMING PAMELA BUSHNELL AS COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR
DISTRICT 1 AND DIANE GLASSER AS COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR DISTRICT 3: A
Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deeming Pamela Bushnell elected
to serve as the Commission Representative for District 1 and deeming Diane Glasser elected to serve
as the Commission Representative for District 3; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and
providing for an effective date. City Attorney Goren read TR12260 by title into the record.
Commissioner Dressler seconded by Commissioner Gomez moved approval of TR12260. Motion
passed unanimously (5-0).
RESOLUTION R-2012-122
2. OATH OF OFFICE administered by City Manager Michael C. Cernech to Pamela Bushnell, City
Commission Member District 1, and presentation of Certificate of Election.
3. OATH OF OFFICE administered by City Manager Michael C. Cernech to Diane Glasser, City
Commission Member District 3, and presentation of Certificate of Election.
Mayor Talabisco acknowledged Representative Hazelle Rogers, Norma Goldstein, Asst. to
Commissioner Stacy Ritter and Jack Talabisco. Mayor Talabisco, Commissioner Dressler and
Commissioner Gomez thanked everyone for attending the ceremony and offered their best wishes
and good luck in the coming year to the re-elected Commissioners. City Attorney Goren also
extended his congratulations and best wishes.
There being no further business to come before the City Commission, Mayor Talabisco adjourned the
meeting 10:24 a.m.
