CITY COMMISSION BUDGET WORKSHOP
MONDAY, JULY 20, 1998
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the budget workshop to order on Monday,
July 20, 1998, at 2:00 p.m., in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
PRESENT: Mayor Joseph Schreiber, Commissioner Karen L. Roberts and
Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof.
ABSENT AND EXCUSED: Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin and Commissioner John E.
McKaye.
ALSO PRESENT: Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager, Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney,
Tim Hemstreet, Assistant to the City Manager and Carol Gold, City Clerk.

1. FINANCE DEPARTMENT: Interim Finance Director Bruce Abrahams,
Management and Budget Officer John Ralston, Controller Bill Nealon, Interim
Treasurer Ivan Perrone and Customer Service Supervisor Charmaine McHugh
gave presentations on the proposed Finance Department budget beginning at
page 82 of the document.
2. FIRE DEPARTMENT: Fire Chief Jim Budzinski delivered the Fire Department's
proposed budget and capital improvement requests utilizing a slide presentation.
3. RISK MANAGEMENT: Susan Sinclair, Risk Manager, presented the proposed
Risk Management budget beginning at page 217 of the document.
There being no further business, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the workshop at 4:20 p.m.
