HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-07-22 - City Commission Budget Workshop Meeting MinutesCITY OF TAMARAC CITY COMMISSION BUDGET WORKSHOP TUESDAY, JULY 22, 1997 CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the budget workshop to order on Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida. PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin Commissioner John E. McKaye Commissioner Karen L. Roberts Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof ALSO PRESENT: Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney Tim Hemstreet, Assistant to the City Manager Stanley Hawthorne, Finance Director Carol A. Evans, CMC, City Clerk Raj Verma, Public Works Director Levent Sucuoglu, MIS Director Jeffrey L. Bruce Abrahams and Thelma Fagelbaum made a presentation pertaining to the Grants program. Tape 2 Discussion followed regarding a lobbyist and John Ralston referenced Pages 136 and 137of the proposed budget. Eurchasina Division Lynda Flurry referred to Pages 140 and 141 of the proposed budget. Custom Division Bruce Abrahams made a brief presentation. Mayor Schreiber called for a recess at 11:00 a.m. and the workshop reconvened at 11:17 a.m. with everyone in attendance. Pljblic Works Raj Verma made a presentation. Tape 3 Raj Verma continued his presentation and Mark Greenspan made a short presentation and referred to Pages 11 and 12 of the Capital Improvement Program. Mayor Schreiber called for a recess at 12:05 p.m. for lunch and the workshop reconvened at 1:00 p.m. with everyone in attendance. Maria Swanson made a presentation and referred to Pages 257 through 264 of the proposed budget. Community Dev to ment Jeffrey Miller made a presentation and referenced Pages 106 through 122 of the proposed budget. Tape 6 Jeffrey Miller continued his presentation and referenced Page 2 through 4 of the Capital Improvement Program. Risk Management Division Susan Sinclair made a presentation and referred to Pages 324 through 334 of the proposed budget. Tape 7 Susan Sinclair continued her presentation.
