HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-06-30 - City Commission Special Meeting MinutesCITY OF TAMARAC CITY COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY, JUNE 30, 1997 CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the special meeting to order on Monday, June 30, 1997, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac, City Hall, 7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida. PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin Commissioner John E. McKaye Commissioner Karen L. Roberts Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof ALSO PRESENT; Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney Tim Hemstreet, Assistant to the City Manager Phyllis Polikoff, Office Specialist Tape 1 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Any member of the public may speak to any issue which is on this meeting notice. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item, and any speakers are encouraged to sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation. When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be hoard during a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter. There was no public participation. 2. MOTION TO ADOPT Temp. Reso. #7921 authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Tamarac and North Lauderdale regarding the delivery of water and sewer service to the Courtyards of Broward. VOTE: ALL VOTED AYE 3. MOTION TO ADOPITemp. Reso. #7926 appointing Harold Friedman to serve as legislative aide to Mayor Joe Schreiber. APPROVED RESOLUTION R-97-162 Mayor Schreiber requested a MOTION to appoint Harold Friedman as his legislative aide. V/M Mishkin MOVED APPROVAL, SECONDED by Comm. Roberts.
