HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-07-28 - City Commission Special Meeting MinutesCITY OF TAMARAC CITY COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY, JULY 28, 1997 CALL TO Q,R,DER; Mayor Schreiber called the special meeting to order on Monday, July 28, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac, City Hall, 7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida. PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin Commissioner John E. McKaye Commissioner Karen L. Roberts Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof AM PRESENT: Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney Stanley Hawthorne, Finance Director Patricia Marcurio, CMC, Assistant City Clerk Tape 1 W131C�11:i�C«71�_��C�7►1 PUBLIC PARIICIPATION - Any member of the public may speak to any issue which is not agendized for public hearing at this meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes during this item and at public hearings. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to sign up in advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation. When an issue has been designated as quasi-judicial, public remarks shall only be heard during a quasi-judicial hearing that has been properly noticed for that matter. There was no public participation. 2. MOTION TO AD PT Temp. Reso. #7952 authorizing the City Clerk to forward the Redistricting Committee Report dated May 14, 1997, which was accepted at the Special Meeting of the City Commission on June 16, 1997, to the Broward County Elections Department. APPROVED RESOLUTION R-97-196 City Commission Special Meeting July 28, 1997 Page 2 City Attorney Kraft read Temp. Reso. #7952 by title. Comm. Sultanof MOVED APPROVAL, SECONDED by Comm. Roberts. VOTE: 3. OTHER BUSINESS ALL VOTED AYE Discussion was held regarding projects associated with the City's strategic plan, early retirement, Emergency Medical Services fees and fire rescue fees.
