CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 1997
CALL TO ORDER: Vice Mayor Mishkin called the workshop to order on Monday, January
6, 1997, at 9.30 A.M. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 Northwest 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Comm. Schreiber discussed Consent Item 3.a.2. pertaining to the regular December
11, 1996 City Commission minutes, Consent item 3.g. regarding the bobcat loader
and Item 4 regarding waiver of fees for Continental Cablevision.
2. Ambassador of Soccer Program
City Manager Noe recommended considering the item and cost for the FY 98 budget
and Mr. Doyle concurred.
Vice Mayor Mishkin requested a consensus to defer the request until FY 98 and the
Commissioners agreed to defer the request.

Vice Mayor Mishkin brought up the status of the space study, street improvement
priorities, beautification projects for City medians, entrance signs and holiday
decorations.
City Manager Noe said he would report on those subjects at the regular City
Commission meeting on January 8.
There was discussion pertaining to the use of City facilities for non -City group
functions, status of negotiations regarding the Tamarac Athletic Federation
agreement and annexation with regard to The Courtyards in North Lauderdale.

Discussion continued and the Commissioners agreed that a not -to -exceed figure be
determined before Tamarac pays to have Hartman & Associates perform a study to
determine the value of the utilities presently servicing The Courtyards.
With no further discussion, Vice Mayor Mishkin adjourned the workshop at 10.25 A.M.
