CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 1997
CALL TO ORDER: Vice Mayor Mishkin called the workshop to order on Tuesday,
January 21, 1997, at 2:00 P.M. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager
Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney
Tim Hemstreet, Assistant to the City Manager

Discussion was held regarding the minutes of January 8, 1997, the telecommunications
ordinance and the individual who will represent Tamarac on the FCC Local and State
Government Advisory Committee.
Raj Verma and Gordon Sparks commented on Change Order #1 regarding the
contractor and consulting engineer for Tract 27.
Vice Mayor Mishkin requested the City Manager give a follow up on procedures
protecting the City regarding contracts at a workshop within two weeks.

City Attorney Kraft referred to annexation and utilities with regard to The Courtyards in
North Lauderdale and additional discussion followed pertaining to annexation and areas
in unincorporated Broward County.

Chris King made a presentation regarding the Telecommunications ordinance and Ed
Doyle commented on the Tamarac Athletic Federation agreement.
City Manager Noe referenced a Florida Department of Transportation meeting on
January 30, 1997 and invited the Commissioners to attend.
With no further discussion, Vice Mayor Mishkin adjourned the workshop at 3:30 P.M.
