Recitals A. On August 28, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners approved the form of an interlocal agreement to allow municipalities in Broward County to use County services for Keep Broward Beautiful, Household Hazardous Waste, and Bulk Trash and Yard Waste programs (the "Programs") on a fee -for -service basis. B. Keep Broward Beautiful program focuses on the organization, education, and coordination of volunteers for the removal of litter, including Adopt -A -Street, waterway cleanups, beach sweeps, and municipal events. C. D. E. On 6/21/2014, City entered into the Agreement with County. The Agreement currently expires on September 30, 2018. F. County is in the process of evaluating the next steps for the Programs. NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, County and City hereby agree as follows: 1. The Agreement, which expires on September 30, 2018, is extended for one year, with a new expiration date of September 30, 2019. All other terms, conditions, and covenants contained in the Agreement shall remain in force and effect, IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties hereto have made and executed this First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement: BROWARD COUNTY, through its County Administrator, authorized to execute same pursuant to Board action at the April 10, 2018 meeting, and the City of Tamarac, signing by and through its Mayor and City Manager, duly authorized to execute same.
