Cernech, City Manager DATE: November 5, 2013 FROM: James Twigger, RE: (TR12399) Microsoft Enterprise Assistant Director of IT Agreement Renewal - Amendments Recommendation: I recommend approval of the proposed amendments to the City's Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement, to provide for renewal of the Microsoft Office 365 subscription used by the Town of Southwest Ranches. Issue: Specific amendments to the City's Microsoft Licensing Agreement, provided by Microsoft, are necessary in order to include part numbers, definitions and terms for Microsoft Office 365. Background: On October 9, 2013, the City of Tamarac City Commission approved Resolution R-2013-107, authorizing the renewal of the City's Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement for three (3) years. The agreement includes Software Assurance (Microsoft software maintenance contract) for the City of Tamarac, and licensing (including a Microsoft Office 365 subscription) for the Town of Southwest Ranches per the terms of the ILA approved by Resolution R-2013-45, The Microsoft Office 365 service is used by the Town of Southwest Ranches to provide access to Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc..., as well as to provide email service. Upon delivery of the signed forms and agreements to Microsoft, necessary for the renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement, Microsoft advised that they also need to include two amendments as part of the agreement/renewal related to the provision of Microsoft Office 365 services. The amendments incorporate definitions, terms and a product list (part numbers) into the Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement. 1 1 Microsoft Enterprise Agreement I recommend approval of the proposed amendments to the City's Microsoft Enterprise Licensing Agreement, to provide for renewal of the Microsoft Office 365 subscription used by the Town of Southwest Ranches. Proposed amendments have been reviewed by the City's Purchasing and Contracts Division. Financial Impact: Proposed amendments have no dollar impact on the City's Microsoft Licensing Agreement already approved by the City Commission.
