HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-2005-132Temporary Resolution No. 10752 June 15, 2005 Page 1 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION NO R-2005--k3,2�.,_ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT THE STATE OF FLORIDA'S STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $422,978 BY ACCEPTING THE FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006 ALLOCATION OF THE PROGRAM FUNDS TO BE UTILIZED ACCORDING TO THE CITY'S LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AND HOUSING DELIVERY GOALS CHART; APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS, DURING THE NEXT QUARTERLY BUDGET AMENDMENT (CASE NO. 9-MI-05); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the State of Florida has notified the City of Tamarac of its Fiscal Year 2005-2006 annual grant allocation of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds in the amount of $422,978 (attached hereto as Exhibit "1 "); and WHEREAS, the City will utilize FY 2005-2006 funds according to its Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart (attached hereto as Exhibit "2"); and WHEREAS, the Community Development Director recommends approval; and Temporary Resolution No. 10752 June 15, 2005 Page 2 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept the SHIP Fund Budget in the amount of $422,978 by accepting the Fiscal Year 2005-2006 allocation of the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program funds to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart; and appropriating said funds, during the next Quarterly Budget Amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials accept the State of Florida's State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program budget in the amount of $422,978 by accepting the FY 2005-2006 allocation of Program funds to be utilized according to the City's Local Housing Assistance Plan and Housing Delivery Goals Chart, and include the amendment of the SHIP Fund Budget during the next Quarterly Budget Amendment. SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. 1 F1 L Temporary Resolution No. 10752 June 15, 2005 Page 3 SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. SECTION 5: passage and adoption.
