CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R--90-
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM
THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO BROWARD COUNTY GRANTING
ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PROPOSED TURN LANE
ON THE NOS HILL ROAD EXTENSION ACROSS THE C--14
CANAL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Broward County intends to improve Nob Hill Road
from Commercial Boulevard to the C--14 Canal; and
WHEREAS, the intended improvement will provide for safe and
efficient vehicular travel; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 125.38 F.S., Broward
County has requested the City to convey a parcel of land generally
located northerly of Southgate Boulevard at Nob Hill Road, being
more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A"; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined this request to be in the
best interest and welfare of the general public; and
WHEREAS, Broward County has agreed to pay the nominal con-
sideration set forth in the Quit Claim Deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials are hereby
authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed from the City of Tamarac
granting additional right-of-way to Broward County for a proposed
turn lane on the Nab Hill Road Extension across the C-14 canal, a
copy of said document being attached hereto as "Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to record said document in the public records of Broward
County, Florida.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and other valuable con-
siderations, paid, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do
hereby remise, release, quit claim and convey unto the party of
the second part, its successors and assigns, all right, title
interest, claim and demand which the party of the first part has
in and to the following described land, situate, lying and being
in the County of BR.OWART), State of Florida, to wit:

hereto and made a part hereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE SAME, together with all and sing-
ular the appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise incident
or appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest, and
claim whatsoever of the party of the first part, in law or in
equity, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said
party of the second part, its successors and assigns forever.

Tamarac, a Municipal Corporation, and Broward County, a political
subdivision at the State of Florida.

A strip of land 106 feet in width in Sections 31 and 32, Township 48
South, Range 41 East, and Section 5, Township 49 South, Range 41 East.
The centerline of said strip being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the East
line of said Section 31 and the South right-of-way
line of the South Florida Water Management Districts
C-14 Canal;
THENCE Southerly along the East line of said Section
31 and the Southerly extension thereof to a POINT OF
TERMINATION on the North right-of-way line of
Southgate Boulevard (a 106 foot right-of-way as
described in the deed recorded in Official Record
Book 6260, Page 629, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida) said point of termination
also being the Northerly point of termination of the
centerline of right-of-way described in the deed

On the South by the North right-of-way line of
Southgate Boulevard, a 106-foot right-of-way as
established by the deed recorded in Official Record
Book 6260, Page 629, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida;
On the East by a line which is 53.0 feet West of and
parallel with the Northerly extension of the
centerline of Northwest 100 Avenue as established by
the deed recorded in Official Record Book 4747, Page
184 of the Public Records of Broward County,
Florida; (said Northerly extension of said
centerline being located on the Southerly extension
of the East line of Section 31, Township 48 South,
