A RESOLUTION ADOPTING ANNUAL GENERAL FUND
BUDGET AND UTILITY FUND BUDGET FOR THE
CITY OF TAMARAC FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING

WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Tamarac provides procedure
for the preparation and adopting of a budget and ad valorem taxes
or millage upon taxable property within the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has heretofore presented a budget
message and a recommended annual General Fund budget and a Utility
Fund budget to the Council for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
November 1, 1972, and
WHEREAS, heretofore the Council has received said budget
message and recommended annual budgets for the fiscal year beginning
November 1, 1972, and has advertised the summary thereof, has
advertised and held a public hearing thereon, and
WHEREAS, the public has had available to them copies of such
budgets and the opportunity to express themselves thereon, and
WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed said recommen-
dations and comments by the public and has deemed it necessary and
proper in view of same to amend and make certain changes in the
aforesaid tentative budgets, and
WHEREAS, the Council is now desirous of adopting an annual
General Fund budget for the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1972,
and adopting, approving and otherwise setting a levy upon taxable
property within the corporate limits of -the City, and is desirous
of adopting such Utility Fund budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after duly advertising
public hearings on the budget that a tax of mills
on each dollar of assessed valuation is necessary for the operation
of the City during the coming fiscal year
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of
Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund budget of estimated
expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1972,
as amended, and the Utility Fund budget, as set forth in Schedule
A and Schedule B respectively attached hereto and made a part
hereof as fully as if set forth herein, be and the same are hereby
adopted and approved by the Council of the City of Tamarac as the
budgets of the City of Tamarac of the fiscal year beginning
November 1, 1972.
SECTION 2: That in accordance with the needs and requirements
for the estimated operation for the fiscal year November 1, 1972,
there is hereby levied upon all taxable real and personal property
in the City of Tamarac, except that property exempted under the
Constitution and other laws of the State of Florida, a tax of
mills on each dollar of assessed valuation,
for the year beginning January 1, 1972 and ending December 31, 19722
for the benefit of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby instructed to certify the
annual General Fund budget for the fiscal year beginning November 1,
1972, and the taxes set herein upon taxable property within the

corporate limits of the City in the amount of mills on
each dollar of assessed valuation for the year beginning January 1.,
1972, and ending December 31, 1972. Furthermore, the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the tax collector of
Broward County acting as the tax collector for the City of Tamarac
a certified copy of this resolution.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County
the millage rate hereby established and adopted.
SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to forward to the tax assessor of Broward County a certified copy
of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to forward to the comptroller of the State of Florida a certified
copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 7: The City Clerk is authorized and instructed to
keep a certified copy of this Resolution and the budget and tax
levy provided for herein in the permanent files of the City of
Tamarac.
SECTION 8: The City Clerk is hereby instructed to reproduce
sufficient copies of this budget so that same will be available
for the use of all officers, departments and agencies and for
the use of interested persons and civic organizations during the
fiscal year beginning November 1, 1972.
