RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT CITY COUNCIL
BUSINESS SHALL NOT BE HELD IN ABEYANCE
BY VIRTUE OF COUNCIL MEMBERS' VACATIONS
AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR ANNOUNCEMENT
AND APPROVAL OF VACATIONS BY THE COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac has
a considerable volume of business on which it must take
action throughout the summer vacation period, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems it advisable that
vacations by Council members be announced publicly and
approved by the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That City Council business shall not
be held in abeyance by virtue of the vacation of any members
of the City Council. This paragraph shall not include ab-
sence for other than vacation.
SECTION 2: Prior to leaving for vacation, indi-
vidual Council members shall announce the dates of their
vacations, and the Council shall approve the proposed va-
cation as a part of the Council's summer vacation schedule.
SECTION 3: The Council shall have authority to
excuse Council members from three (3) regular Council meetings
for vacation purposes.
