RESOLUTION NO.Ia-'jQ-(33
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING AN
AD VALOREM TAX TO FUND THE GENERAL FUND
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER
1978.
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a budget for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 1978, not to exceed Five Million
Three Hundred Thirteen Thousand and Twenty -Nine Dollars ($5,313,029.0
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to increase
the Ad Valorem tax or millage upon taxable property within the City
of Tamarac to generate sufficient funds to meet its budget require-
ments, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received input at two duly
advertised public hearings as required by law from its citizens
pertaining to the millage or Ad Valorem taxes to be assessed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund Budget of
estimated expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning October
1,-1978, has been adopted and approved by the Council of the City of
Tamarac, Florida by Ordinance No. 78-44. In accordance with the need
and requirements for the estimated operation for the fiscal year
October 1, 1978, there is hereby levied upon all taxable real and
personal property in the City of Tamarac, except that property
exempted under the Constitution and other laws of the State of Florida
a tax of $6.0155 dollars per 1,000 dollars of assessed valuation
(6.0155 mills on the dollar) for the benefit of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and in-
structed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the
following: The Broward County Division of Revenue Collection acting
as the Tax Collector for the City of Tamarac; The State of Florida
Department of Revenue; The Board of County Commissioners of Broward
County; and the Property Appraiser of Broward County.

1 SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby instructed to keep
2 an original copy of this Resolution in the permanent files of the
3 City of Tamarac.
4 SECTION 4: This Resolution shall be effective immediately
5 upon its final adoption.
