During the past several years we have experienced increased costs associated with
the performance of our engineering assignments. At this time we believe it is
necessary to request the City of Tamarac to make an adjustment to the subject Agree-
ment. The "Schedule of Hourly Rates and Other Charges" being used in conjunction
with the Agreement is dated July 12, 1976 and became effective subsequent to
Resolution No. R77-135 (July 28, 1977). Since July, 1976, we have experienced con-
tinued increases in the cost of goods and services, as well as increased wages for
our personnel. Enclosed please find a "Schedule of Hourly Rates and Other Charges"
dated January 1, 1979 which we request be substituted for the current "Exhibit 116"
to the subject Agreement.
We consider it a privilege to have served the City for the past eight years and
regret having to make this request, but find it absolutely necessary if we are to
maintain our standard of service.
