CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97-102'd
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPROVING A
WAIVER TO THE SIGN CODE ORDINANCE
REQUESTED BY PRISCILLA G. THOMAS OF THOMAS
SIGN & AWNING CO., INC. FOR ATLANTIC
HOMESTEAD VILLAGE LOCATED AT 3873 W.
COMMERCIAL BLVD., TO ERECT A GROUND SIGN
WITH THREE LINES OF COPY AND THREE COLORS;
PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Whereas, Priscilla G. Thomas of Thomas Sign & Awning Co., Inc. is requesting a
waiver to the sign code for Atlantic Homestead Village located at 3873 W. Commercial
Blvd., to erect a ground sign with three lines of copy and three colors; and
WHEREAS, the Interim Building Official, reviewed said waiver and recommends
approval for the ground sign with three lines of copy and three colors; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has the authority
pursuant to the Code Section 18-42 to grant waivers; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant this waiver.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18 requested by Priscilla
G. Thomas of Thomas Sign & Awning Co., Inc. for Atlantic Homestead Village located at
3873 W. Commercial Blvd., to erect a ground sign with three lines of copy and three colors;
is HEREBY APPROVED.

SECTION 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SETION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
