CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97-_Zf/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, RE -APPROVING A
PREVIOUS WAIVER TO THE SIGN CODE ORDINANCE
REQUESTED BY TIMOTHY L. HERNANDEZ OF PULTE
HOMES CORPORATION FOR A BILLBOARD SIGN
FOR PLUM HARBOR / PLUM BAY, LOCATED ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD EAST
OF NOB HILL ROAD, TWENTY (20) FEET IN HEIGHT,
TWO -HUNDRED (200) SQUARE FEET IN AREA AND
UTILIZING MORE THAN THREE (3) COLORS;
PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE,
Whereas, Timothy L. Hernandez of Pulte Homes Corporation is requesting re -
approval of a previous sign waiver for a billboard sign for Plum Harbor / Plum Bay, located
on the north side of Commercial Boulevard east of Nob Hill Road, twenty (20) feet in height,
two -hundred (200) square feet in area and utilizing more than three (3) colors; and
WHEREAS, the Interim Building Official, reviewed said waiver and recommends re -
approval for the billboard sign twenty (20) feet in height, two -hundred (200) square feet in
area and utilizing more than three (3) colors; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has the authority
pursuant to the Code Section 18-42 to grant waivers; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant this waiver.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18 requested by Timothy
L. Hernandez of Pulte Homes Corporation for a billboard sign for Plum Harbor / Plum Bay,
located on the north side of Commercial Boulevard east of Nob Hill Road, twenty (20) feet
in height, two -hundred (200) square feet in area and utilizing more than three (3) colors; is

SECTION I All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediatel upon adoption.
