RESOLUTION NO. R-97- •ZQQ
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO APPROVE THE
PURCHASE OF A PAN AND TILT CAMERA WITH
TRANSPORTER AND A LATERAL INSPECTION SYSTEM
FROM CUES, INC., A SINGLE SOURCE, AT A TOTAL COST
NOT TO EXCEED $51,800; APPROVING FUNDING FROM
THE APPROPRIATE UTILITIES OPERATING ACCOUNTS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Wastewater division presently operates two Cues, Inc. video and
sealing vans; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of these items from Cues, Inc. will maintain
standardization, continuation of warranty, reduction of inventory and eliminate
conversion of existing equipment at an additional cost; and
WHEREAS, the Wastewater division is requesting the replacement of an
obsolete camera and receiving trade-in value of $2,050 toward the purchase of the Pan
and Tilt camera; and
WHEREAS, the Lateral Inspection System will permit accurate and detailed
inspections of City sanitary service laterals without entering private property or
performing excavations and restorations on the customers' property; and
WHEREAS, Cues, Inc. is the single source supplier of Cues, Inc. video

inspection equipment; and
WHEREAS, City Code 6 -151 allows the purchasing of non-competitive supplies
available from only one source when the best interest of the City is served; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Utilities and the
Purchasing and Contracts Manager that this purchase be awarded to Cues, Inc; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the City of Tamarac to approve the purchase of a Pan and Tilt
camera and a Lateral Inspection System from Cues, Inc. for an amount not to exceed
$51,800 and provide funding from the appropriate Utilities operating fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to
purchase a Pan and Tilt camera with transporter and a Lateral Inspection System at a
cost not to exceed $51,800 from Cues, Inc.
SECTION 3: Funding is approved from the appropriate Utilities Operating
Account.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
