A RESOLUTION RENEWING A SALARY BENEFIT PLAN
FOR CONFIDENTIAL, SUPERVISORY AND EXEC-
UTIVE/MANAGERIAL CITY EMPLOYEES, AND
PROViD3E�; AN __ZEEB0jyB DATE ._.._
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Personnel Director have
proposed a "Salary and Benefit Plan" for -employees outside
the bargaining units; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered this plan and
desires to implement it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SEC_ I: That the personnel manual shall apply to all
City employees outside the bargaining units unless specif-
ically provided in the manual, however any of the following
provisions contained in this resolution that may be in con-
flict with the personnel manual shall supercede the
manual.
SECTION 2: That the following "Salary and Benefit Plan"
for employees outside the Bargaining Units is hereby renewed:

A. Confidential Employees
1. Specifics of the Plan are as follows:
a. Three percent (3%) wage increase effective retro-
actively to October 1, 1985.
b. Effective retroactively to October 1, 1985, one
thousand dollar ($1,000) benefit package as (FPE

provided in the Federation of Public Employees
contract which was ratified by the City Council
on December 12r 1984*
c. Additional five percent (5%) wage increase on
April Ir 1986. jump sum longevity after 1 year

C. Executive/Managerial Plan
1. Specifics of the Plan are as follows:
a.
All the benefits listed above as A.l. a. through d.
b.
Effective retroactively to October 1, 1985f one
thousand dollar ($1,000) benefit package from FPE
Contract ratified December 12, 1984.
c.
Group term $50,000 life insurance policy for
employee (premium paid by city).
d.
Vacation after fifteen (15) years employment with
the City accrued at the rate of two days per month
with no maximum accrual.
e.
Employee may be a member of City's pension plan or
may elect to have City place its pension contri-
bution a City approved deferred compensation plan.
f.
Longevity benefit after sixty (60) months of
employment based on the following percentages of
annual salary:
60 - 119 mos = 2.5%/yr.
120 - 179 mos = 5.0%/yr.
180 - 239 mos = 7.5%/yr.
240 - 299 mos = 10%/yr.
300 or more mos = 12.5%/yr.
Lump sum payment made in first pay period in
December.

S_E_Q1I_OK.__3_: That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and shall have benefits retro-
active to October 1, 1985 where indicated herein.
