CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 2 -
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER
DESIGNEE TO ENTER INTO SHORT TERM LEASE AGREEMENTS
WITH TAMARAC RESIDENTS FOR PARKING SPACES AT THE
TAMARAC UTILITIES EAST PARKING LOT; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Tamarac City Code restricts the parking.of certain
-camiercial and recreational vehicles in residentially zoned areas; and
WHEREAS, there is a parking lot at the Tamarac Utilities East
complex, 5510 Northwest 22nd Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33319, where such
restricted vehicles could be stored or parked as a service to the owners and
for the benefit of the owners neighbors; and
WHEREAS, the City contemplates the execution of approximately twenty-
nine (29) Leases on short term basis which could be handled administratively
rather than through formal Council action.
NOW, THEREF1ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That the Lease Form attached as Exhibit "A" is approved
for use in leasing parking spaces at the Tamarac Utilities East complex.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to
execute these Leases on behalf of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: That if the City Manager chooses to designate another
City employee or official, such designation shall be by written memorandum
filed with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately

FAMMG-LEMB-a-MEMENT ( Space # )
THIS AGREEMENT, is made this -_ day of
19 , between:
City of Tamarac, a municipal corporation of
Florida, hereinafter referred to as "CITY"
and
hereinafter referred to as "TENANT".
The CITY owns certain property located at 5510 N.W. 22nd
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33309 and is walling to enter into
this lease;
The TENANT, desires to enter into this Lease for the use
of the premises from the CITY upon the terms and conditions
provided below.
1. T&, m. The term of this Lease shall be for a period
of __- months, to commence at 12:01 A.M. on the
_ day of ------------_._,__, 19 and shall expire the day
of , 19 , at 11:59 P.M.
2.�1_F�iyment. Indicate the option desired below:
— a. �g �.�,Rate: The TENANT elects and agrees to
pay to the CITY, as rent, the sum of $20.00 per month
(required minimum of 3 months), payable upon execution of
Lease.
- b. �B��a_D�S?�il._�€: The TENANT elects and
agrees to pay to the CITY, as rental, the sum of $200.00 for
twelve (12) months, payable upon execution of Lease.
3. ��c����tion•
A. The CITY retains the riaht to terminate this
Lease when the tenant is in violation of any Florida law
governing landlords and tenants.
B. The CITY retains the right to terminate this
Lease if the tenant does not abide by the agreed upon uses
and restrictions contained in this Lease.
C. The TENANT agrees to pay all costs of towing or
removal of property from the leased parking space in the
event of the termination of the lease by the CITY.

D. In the event of termination by eiher the CITY or
the TENANT, the TENANT is not entitled to any refund.
E. The CITY must give the TENANT fourteen (14) days
advance notice if the CITY decides to terminate this Lease.
4. PrQpQ,:J�y. The property that is the subject of this
Lease is Spaceof the municipal parking facility
located at 5510 N.W. 22nd Avenue, Tamarac, Florida 33309.
5. Use. The TENANT is entitled to the use of the
property for the sole purpose of parking or storing a
commercial or recreational vehicle (motorized or trailer), or
a boat and/or boat trailer. The vehicle or trailer length is
limited to 32 feet. The width is limited to 12 feet. No
boats may be stored unless they are on an appropriate
trailer. The TENANT is required to obtain a parking permit
and display such prominently on his vehicle or trailer on the
left side of vehicle visible from center of lot. Such
vehicle must at all times be maintained in a mobile
condition. TENANT agrees the use of the leased property is
for parking and storage and that TENANT shall not have the
right to occupy or reside in the parked or stored vehicle
while on property.
6. At the time this agreement is made,
TENANT certifies that he is a resident of the City of
Tamarac. TENANT'S residence is located at the address listed
in paragraph 9 below.
7. I�qD=AgD�g. The TENANT shall not assign this
Lease, or sublet the premise or any part thereof without the
written consent of the CITY.
8. NQ�._�.�1� The TENANT agrees to hold the CITY
harmless from any and all claims which might arise during the
term of the Lease, for any personal injury, loss of life, and
property damage of the TENANT and any third parties sustained
during the term of this Lease.
9. Noti,g&. Whenever either party desires to give
notice to the other, it shall be given by written notice,
hand delivered or sent by prepaid certified United States

mail., with return receipt, addressed to the party for whom it
is intended, at the place specified as the place for giving
of notice, which shall remain such until it shall have been
changed by written notice in compliance with the provisions
of this paragraph. For the present, the parties designate
the following as the respective places for the giving of
notice.

Notice so addressed and sent by prepared certified mail,
with return receipt requested, shall be deemed given when it
shall have been so deposited in the United States mail.
