CITY a TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING FURTHER BUSING OF TAMARAC STUDENTS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has gone on record on numerous occasions
opposing the busing of students living in the City inordinately long distances,
and
WHEREAS, school boundaries are again being considered by the Broward
County School Board, and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac City Council hopes that the Broward County School
Board will choose to exercise common sense in this matter and modify existing
boundaries in order to permit students living in the City of Tamarac to attend
schools in close proximity to their homes rather than being subjected to forced
busing, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to reiterate its position and prays
that it is not futily banging its head against a stone wall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing recitations are true and correct and reflect
the position of the City Council of the City of Tamarac that school boundaries

be modified to reduce or eliminate the busing of Tamarac students inordinate
distances.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
