4 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THE FLORIDA
5 DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AQUATIC PLANT
CONTROL FUNDING PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1982/83;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, hereinafter referred to as the
8 Grantee, is a County, City, Special District, or government agency as
9 defined in the Department of Natural Resources' administrative rules
10 of Chapter 16C-50, Florida Administrative Code, and
11 WHEREAS, the Grantee is responsible for aquatic plant control
12 in waters within the area of its jurisdiction, and
13 WHEREAS, the Grantee acknowledges the necessity of assigning
14 a Project Administrator to serve as a liaison with the Department in
15 routine matters and provide direct supervision and administration,
16 and
17 WHEREAS, the Grantee acknowledges the necessity of assigning a
Project Financial Officer who is primarily responsible for maintaininc
the Grantee's financial and accounting records;
1.0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE .IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAktzARAC,
21 FLORIDA:
22 SECTION 1: That the waters to be managed for Aquatic Plant
23 Control with the use of funds from the Grantee's aquatic plant control
24 budget, which is submitted as partial fulfillment of the State Aquatic
25 Plant Control Funding Program application requirements and coincides
26 with the Grantee's approved work plan, are accessible to the general
27 public or are managed for flood prevention'for public benefit; and
28 SECTION 2: That Ralph Thissen is the Grantee's assigned
29 Project Administrator who is knowledgeable of all provisions of the
30 State Aquatic Plant Control Funding Program and Chapter 16C-50,
11 Florida Administrative Code; and

SECTION 3: That William Farbman is the Grantee's assigned
Project Financial Officer who is knowledgeable of all financial and
accounting requirements of the State Aquatic Plant Control Funding
Program and Chapter 16C-50, Florida Administrative Code.
SECTION 4: This resolution shall become effective immediate-
ly upon adoption.
