CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2021 -
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA, APPOINTING ONE (1)
ALTERNATE AT -LARGE MEMBER FOR A
TERM THAT WILL EXPIRE NOVEMBER 8,
2022, OR UNTIL SUCH OTHER
APPOINTMENTS ARE MADE, TO THE
PLANNING BOARD; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing members to the
City of Tamarac's advisory boards and committees ; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with §2-58 of the Tamarac Code, the City
Commission shall appoint qualified individuals to the respective positions ; and
WHEREAS, George Odom had been appointed as an alternate at -large
member of the Planning Board, by a majority of the City Commission, through
Resolution R-2019-93; and
WHEREAS, George Odom resigned from his position as an Alternate At -
Large on the Planning Board effective Nov. 14, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint one
(1) alternate at large member to the Planning Board, in accordance with the
• procedures set out in 2-58 of the Tamarac Code ; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution. All exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a
specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The following individual is hereby selected by the majority of
the City Commission, and is appointed to serve as an Alternate At -Large member
of the Planning Board, to a term that is concurrent with the Mayor, or until such
time as new appointments are made.

SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 6- This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
