CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-2022 - OGS
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, RATIFYING
EXPENDITURES TO DATE FOR FY22 MADE TO
AMAZON.COM AND AUTHORIZING ANNUAL
FISCAL YEAR EXPENDITURES OF UP TO
$150,000 THROUGH THE OMNIA PARTNERS
NATIONAL CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT
AWARDED BY THE STATE OF UTAH AS
CONTRACT #MA3457 EFFECTIVE UPON
PASSAGE OF THIS RESOLUTION THROUGH
MAY 5, 2025; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is often necessary to make small purchase expenditures
using expedited delivery methods for various goods in order to provide more
expedient services to the residents and businesses of the City of Tamarac ; and
WHEREAS, The City recognizes that Amazon.com is able to provide
expedited deliveries of multiple items to the City in an expedited manner ; and
WHEREAS, Amazon.com is often the only outlet that is able to provide hard
to find items in an expedited manner and was instrumental in supporting the City's
rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic ; and
WHEREAS, Amazon.com has entered into a national agreement with the
OMNIA Partners national consortium awarded by the State of Utah as their
Contract #MA3457 which is in effect through May 5, 2025, which provides that the

City is able to obtain Amazon Business Prime status, thus saving on delivery costs
to the City; and
WHEREAS, The City of Tamarac is a member in good standing with the
OMNIA Partners national consortium; and
WHEREAS, The City became a Business Prime member of Amazon.com
in February of 2021; and
WHEREAS, The City of Tamarac has purchased goods during Fiscal Year
22 equal to approximately $52,424.59 as of May 19, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City has been able to achieve a Diversity spend $1,704.62
with diverse minority, women owned, and veteran owned, business firms since the
beginning of FY 22; and
WHEREAS, Amazon.com has recently built a distribution facility in the City
of Tamarac, and is now part of the Tamarac corporate community; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Financial Services and the Purchasing and
Contracts Manager recommends ratifying expenditures made to date for FY 22
and approval of an annual fiscal year expenditure of up to $150,000 for purchases
made from Amazon.com utilizing the OMNIA Partners national consortium contract
awarded by the State of Utah as their Contract #MA3457 effective upon passage
of this resolution through May 5, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve
ratifying expenditures made to date for FY 22 and approval of an annual fiscal year
expenditure of up to $150,000 for purchases made from Amazon.com utilizing the

OMNIA Partners national consortium contract awarded by the State of Utah as
their Contract #MA3457 effective upon passage of this resolution through May 5,
2025;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution. All exhibits attached hereto are incorporated herein and made a
specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Commission ratifies expenditures made to date for
FY 22 and approves an annual fiscal year expenditure of up to $150,000 for
purchases made from Amazon.com utilizing the OMNIA Partners national
consortium contract awarded by the State of Utah as their Contract #MA3457
effective upon passage of this resolution through May 5, 2025;
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
