Purpose: Pursuant to Section 286.011(8), F.S., notice is hereby given that the City Commission of
the City of Tamarac will hold a closed -door attorney -client shade meeting on Monday, October 17,
2022, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room 105, City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave., Tamarac, Florida.
This closed -door attorney -client shade meeting is not open to the Public.
Executive Session: The closed -door attorney -client shade meeting is set for the Commission to
discuss settlement negotiations or strategy discussions related to litigation expenditures in the
following case:
13th Floor Woodlands HB GP, LLC vs. City of Tamarac, Florida, CACE-21-019013,
and to take such action as they deem necessary in accordance with Florida law. A verbatim record of
the closed -door attorney -client shade meeting will be made part of the public record upon conclusion
of the litigation. In addition, a certified court reporter designated by Bailey Entin Reporting, will be
present and who shall record the executive session. Present at this session will be Special Counsel,
Edward Pozzuoli, and Shari L. McCartney; Kathleen Gunn, City Manager; Michelle J. Gomez, Mayor;
Mike Gelin, Vice Mayor; Commissioner Marlon D. Bolton; Commissioner Elvin Villalobos; and
Commissioner Debra Placko.
Adjournment: The City Commission may consider and act upon such other business as may come
before it. In the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the public
at the City Commission meeting.
Pursuant to Chapter 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by
the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he may need
to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and
evidence upon which the appeal is based.
