R-2019 -:: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING TWO (2) REGULAR MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING BOARD; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing two (2) regular members to the Planning Board; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Ordinance No 2018-09 and Section 10.5- 6(B)(2)(c)(i)A there is hereby created a Planning Board consisting of five (5) regular members, plus an additional two (2) alternate members, and WHEREAS, City of Tamarac Ordinance 2018-09 provides the method of appointment of members of the Planning Board; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint two (2) regular members to the Planning Board to serve a term concurrent with the appointing Commission member, or until such time as new appointments are made; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Temp. Reso. #13259 Page 2 of 3 April 15, 2019 SECTION 2: That City of Tamarac Ordinance No. 0-2018-09 provides the method of appointment of members to the Planning Board. SECTION 3: That the following individuals are hereby appointed as two (2) regular members of the Planning Board to serve a term concurrent with the appointing Commission member, or until such time as new appointments are made: Name of Appointee: Commission Member Term Ending Date: Making Appointment Nikole Cleare Commissioner Bolton November 3, 2020 Ilene Lieberman Commissioner Gelin November 8, 2022 SECTION4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
