AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT AND DESCRIBING ITS POWERS AND
DUTIES, CREATING THE OFFICE OF CITY
ENGINEER AND DESCRIBING HIS POWERS AND
DUTIES, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC$ FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Engineering Department Established, Duties.
An Engineering Department is hereby established and
charged with the direction and supervision of construction by
the City, acquisition of rights -of -way, and such other duties
as may be assigned to it by the Clerk.
SECTION 2. City Engineer, Duties.
There is hereby created the office of City Engineer,
who shall be the head of the Engineering Department, and who
shall be a registered civil engineer. The City Engineer shall
is perform such duties as shall be prescribed by the Clerk.
SECTION 3. Code.
Sections 1 and 2 of this Ordinance shall be included in
the Tamarac City Code..
SECTION 4, Passage.
This Ordinance shall be passed on three readings at one
meeting of the Council..
SECTION 5. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall be effective upon its final passage.
