HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Ordinance O-1966-005ORDINANCE 66-5 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO ANNEX CERTAIN LANDS CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES THEREOF. WHEREAS, the hereinafter -described tract of land is con- tiguous to the present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and WHEREAS, the owner of said tract of land'has petitioned the City of Tamarac to integrate said land into said City, and WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is empowered to annex said .land; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. The Council hereby declares its intention to annex the; following -described tract to the City at the expiration of thirty (30) days from the approval of this Ordinance, to -wit: All of Lots 13, 14 and 15, of Section 12, Township 49 South, Range 41 East, according to the plat tr:er c:of, of FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS SUBDIVISION, as recorded In Plat Book 4, Page 31, of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida; Together with Lots 1 throu:h 15, inclusive, of Section 13, Township 49 South, Range 41 East, of said FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS SUBDIVISION, and less the following described parcel: Commencing at the Northwcst corner of Section 13, Township 149 South, Range 41 East, Broward Couxaty, Florida; thence Southerly along the West boundary of said Section 13, a distance of 1254.47 feet to a point; said Point being the Point of Beginning of this, desc-ription; thence East on an included angle of 90 degrees, a distance of 375 feet to a point; thence South on an included angle of 90 degree:, a distance of 165 feet to a point; thence Wcst on an included angle of 90 degrees, a distance of 375 Zee" to a point; thence North along the West boundary of .7 r 0 r 1_ J • said Section 13, on an inclucled angle of 90 degrees, a distance of 165 feet to the Point of Bof lnni.n-; and loss that portion of Lot 13, of said Section 13 lying; West of the Sunshine State Parkway. Containing 6147.35 acres, more or les;. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become in full force and effect immediately upon its final passage. SECTION 3.
