ORDINANCE N0. 66-6
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO Tlfl CITY OF
TAMARAC AND REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS TllisREOF.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tract of land is con-
tiguous to the present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10)
registered voters, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said tract of land has petitioned
the City of 'Tamarac to integrate said Land into said City, and
WIIEREAS, the City of Tamarac is empowered to annex said
land pursuant to the provisions of Section 9.37 of`Chapter 63-1970,
Laws of Florida, Special. Acts of 1963, the same being the Charter
of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City did by Ordinance No. 66-5 declare its
intention to annex the said tract of land, and
0 WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 66-5 was duly published as
required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
SECTION 1. The following described tract of land be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Tamarac, to --wit:
All of Lots 13, 14 and 15, of Section 1.2, Township
49 South, Range 41 East, according to the plat thereof,
of FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS SUBDIVISION, as recorded
in Plat Book 4, Page 31, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida; Together with Lots 1 through
1.5, inclusive, of Section 13, Township 49 South, Range
41 East, of said FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS SUBDIVISION,
and less the following described parcel:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 13,
Township 49 South, Range 41 East, Broward County,
Florida; thence'Southerly along the West boundary of
said Section 13, a distance of 1254.47 feet to a
point; said Point being the Point of Beginning of
this description; thence East on an included angle
of 90 degrees, a distance of 375 feet to a point;
thence South on an included angle of 90 degrees, a
distance of 165 feet to a point; thence West on an
included angle of 90 degrees, a distance of 375 feet
to a point; thence North along the West boundary of
said Section 13, on an included angle of 90 degrees,
a distance of 165 feet to the Point of Beginning; and
less that portion of Lot 13, of said Section 13 Lying
West of the Sunshine State Parkway.
Containing 647.35 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. The corporate limits of the City of Tamarac are hereby
redefined to include the foregoing described tract of land as
follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the South
one-half of the Southwest one --quarter (SW1/4) of
Section 16, Township 49 South, Mange 42 East,
Broward County, Florida; thence Easterly along
the North line of said South one-half (Sl/2) of
the Southwest one --quarter (SWl/4) a distance of
435 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence con-
tinuing Easterly along; the last described course,
a distance of 2193.94 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast corner of the Southeast one --quarter
• (SE1/4) of the Southwest one --quarter (SW1/4) of said
Section 16; thence S-111 19' 46"-E, along the East
line of said Southeast one --quarter (SEl/4) of
The Southwest one -quarter (SWl/4) a distance of
1016.92 feet to a point; thence N--770 39' 11"-W
a distance of 1353.68 feet to a point; thence
S-r010 15' 35"-E, a distance of 51.44 feet to a
point; thence N-77° 39' 11"--W, a distance of 1845.47
feet to a point; thence Northerly and Westerly along
the are of a circular curve to the right, having a
radius of 1246.28 feet an are distance of 1396.03
feet to a point on the South line of the North one--
half (Nl/2) of the Northwest one --quarter (NW1/4) of
the Southeast one -quarter (SE1/4) of Section 17, Town-

to a point 861.25 feet West of, as measured at right
angles to, the East line of the Southwest one -quarter
(SW1/4) of said Section 18; thence Southerly parallel

which is the Westward extension of the previously

right-of-way line of State Road #7 (U.S. 441), which
point is one hundred feet West of the East boundary
line of Section 13, Township 49 South, Range 41 East;

of State Road #7 (U.S. 441) and on a line parallel
to and 100 feet West of the East line of said Section
13, to the point of intersection with the South line
