AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC TO ANNEX CERTAIN LANDS CON-
TIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES THEREOF;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tracts of land are con-
tiguous to the present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, said tracts of Land contain less than ten registered
voters, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said tracts of land has petitioned
the City of Tamarac to integrate said lands into said City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is empowered to annex said lands.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: The Council hereby declares its intention to
annex to the City, upon the expiration of thirty (30)days from
the approval of this Ordinance, those lands legally described as
follows:
All of that part of Tract 10, of FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK
FARMS SUBDIVISION of Section 3, Township 49 South,
Range 41 East, as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 31, of
the Public Records of Broward County, Florida.
Containing 40 acres, more or less.
All of that part of Tract 13, of FORT LAUDERDALE TRUCK
FARMS SUBDIVISION of Section 3, Township 49 South,
Range 41 East, as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 31, of
the Public Records of Broward County, Florida.
Containing 39.947 acres, more or less.
All of that part of Tract 20 of FLORIDA FRUIT LANDS
COMPANY SUBDIVISION No. 2 of Section 5, Township 49
South, Range 41 East, as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page
102, of the Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Said lands situate, lying and being in Broward County,
Florida.
Containing 28.347 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2: That the petitioner as aforementioned, shall pro-
vide to the City the necessary funds for the required publication
of this Ordinance prior to the filing of the required publication.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
w
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4:
Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be
declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof
as a whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared to
be invalid.
