CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION OF UTILITY
SHEDS AND SIMILAR STRUCTURES; PROVIDING FOR AN
APPROVED LIST OF PREFABRICATED UTILITY SHEDS OR
SIMILAR STRUCTURES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS the City Council is now desirous of re-emphasizing
ancjexpanding the requirements for the construction of utility sheds
and similar structures beyond and in addition to the scope of the
building code adopted by the City of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That any and all utility sheds and sinar structures
constructed within the City of Tamarac shall be constructed within
the requirements of the Sout lorid Building Co as is adopted

by the City of Tamarac as its buil 'n code.
SECTION 2: Said structures shall comply with "type 4" o
combustible construction s define in the South Florida Builds g
Code as is adopted by th Ci y o Tamarac.
SECTION 3: Be4or th ere tion or constructs n of any utility
sheds or other similar typ o structures, a building pe' rit must
be obtained from the uilding Department and the�fee fo issuance
of same must be aid.
SEC ON 4: Th erection or cons ruction of any u lity shed
or si la tructure ust be done i --comply ce and meet all require -
me s of any ing o dinance or b ilding rdinance applicable
thereto.
SECTION 5: The uilding Department is authorized and instructed
to create a list, and make same public, indicating thereon pre -
approved, prefabricated, utility sheds or similar structures. Each
preapproved structAre that appears on said list must pass all of the
necessary require'm'ents of the South Florida Building Code as adopted
by the City of Tamarac. Notwithstanding the appearance of a particular
prefabricated structure upon such a list, the erection or construction
must be still done after the obtaining of a building permit and in
accordance with all requirements of the building code and/
zoning and other ordinances.
SECTION 6: All ordinances or parts of ordin nces in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 7: Should any section or provi/�ion of this
ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragra�h, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jur'sdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect th validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part reof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
