ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 71-23 OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC WHICH.ADOPTED SUBDIVISION T.MPROW= REGU
LATIONS BY DELETING SECTION VIII.OF SUCH REGULATIONS
REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS AND BY
REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION OF STREET -NAME SIGNS BY THE
DEVELOPER, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; REPEALING
ALL LAWS IN'CONFLICT; AND, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 71-23 of the City of Tamarac is hereby
amended by deleting section VIII from the subdivision improvement
regulations which were adopted by and attached to said ordinance.
SECTION 2: That the subdivision improvement regulations adopted
by and attached to Ordinance No. 71-23 be and they are hereby amended
by adding thereto the following section:
SECTION VIII-STREET--NAME SIGNS
A. General
.. A street -name sign system shall be provided in all subdivisions.
B. Standards of Desi and Construction
1. All plans for street --name: signs systems shall be approved
by the City Engineer.
2. Locations of street -name signs shall be as established by
the City Engineer but shall be not less than one per intersection.
3. Standards of materials, installation and lettering shall, be
established by the City Engineer and furnished to all Developers.
C. Ownership and .Maintenance
1. Upon final approval of the system, the ownership shall be
transferred to the City.
2. The City shall be responsible for all maintenance of the
system upon assuming ownership.
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
by a court of camPetent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
any Part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict

herewith -be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5; This Ordinance shall beoQw effective inuediately
upon its final passage.
