AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 70-15 OF THE
CITY OF TAMAPAC BY PROHIBITING THE BURNING OF
TRASH, VEGETATION, DEBRIS, AND ALL OTHER
SUBSTANCES DEFINED IN SECTION 1 THEREOF; BY
PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL DEFINITION OF MATERIAL
PLACED UNDER THE REGULATION Ok' SUCH ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF The City of
Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 70-15 of the City of Tamarac is hereby
amended by adding to Section 1 thereof the following language:
"4. Vegetation means all natural growth upon a lot or
parcel of ground including trees, vines, bushes, underbrush, and the
waste material arising therefrom."
SECTION'2: Ordinance No. 70-15, City of Tamarac shall be
amended by deleting Section 8 thereof and inserting in lieu thereof
the following language:
"8. No person shall ignite, cause to be ignited, or allow
any burning of substances defined in paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 4
above, upon any public or private place in the City of Tamarac. Nothing
herein shall be deemed to prohibit burning in a stove, oven, barbecue
pit or fireplace of wood, tinder, or similar materials for the purpose
of cooking or fuel.."
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be effective irdiately
upon its final passage.
