ORDINANCE N0. �R
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS CONTIG-
UOUS TO THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC; SUBJECT TO RATIFICATION BY THE
REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
AND BY THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE TER-
RITORIES TO BE ANNEXED; PROVIDING FOR THE
AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP TO RE-
FLECT THE CHANGES IN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES;
AND, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE_.
WHEREAS, the lands described herein are contiguous to the
present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the City Charter provides a method «,qY
for annexation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest
of the City of Tamarac to integrate said lands into said City.'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE`

City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That the lands described in the exhibits
attached hereto prepared by the City Engineer and marked
Parcel AP-1 and Parcel AP--lA and Parcel AP-1B shall be annexed
into and form a part of the City of Tamarac upon the ratification
thereof by referenda votes as set forth in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 2: That within twelve months from the date hereof
the City Council shall by Resolution submit to a separate vote
of the registered electors of the City of Tamarac and of each
of the territories to be annexed, the approval of the said annex-
ation. Said territories shall not be annexed unless such annex-
ation is approved by a majority of the registered electors
actually voting in such election in said territory and the City
of Tamarac. Parcel AP-1 and Parcel AP-lA and Parcel AP-lB shall
be separate items on the ballot and approval of one shall not be
dependent upon approval of the other.

SECTION 3: The form of ballot and voting places shall be

established in the Resolution calling the elections.
SECTION 4: All such elections shall be held under the
supervision of the.Election Board of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
SECTION 6: That upon the ratification of the annexation
in the referendum elections described above, the said territory
shall forthwith be and become a part of the City of Tamarac and
the City Engineer shall within thirty (30) days thereafter alter
and amend the official City Map to show the inclusion of said
territory within the municipal boundaries, except that as to the
portion of Parcel AP-1 lying west of the existing western bound-
aries of the City extended due north from the north western cor-
ner of the City to a point on the north boundary of AP-1, the
effective date of the annexation shall be deferred until a
petition for annexation is received from the owner or until
December 31, 1973, whichever is sooner.

Ordinance #72-20 refers to Annexation Parcel AP-2 which was
not voted upon at the referendum election held on the 21st
November and therefore annexation of Parcel AP-2 has not
been ratified.
The Ordinance which should have been recorded is #72-21.
