CITY OF TAMAIRAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 72-6 OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC BY INCREASING THE MINIMUM WIDTH
TO 75 FEET AND MINIMUM PLOT SIZE TO 101,000 SQUARE
FEET, AND BY INCREASING THE REAR YARD TO NOT LESS
THAN 25 FEET IN THE R-2 DISTRICT; PROHIBITING
SUB -DIVISION OF SUCH PARCELS; PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND, CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That ARTICLE IV of Ordinance No. 72-6 of the City
of Tamarac, be amended so that sub -section 1 of Section 4.2 thereof
shall read as follows:
"SECTION 4.2 SIZE OF PLOT
1. DWELLINGS
Every plot upon which a residential structure
is erected shall be not less than 75 feet in width and 10,000
square feet in area."
SECTION 2_ That ARTICLE IV of Ordinance No, 72-6 of the City
of Tamarac be amended by adding thereto the following section:
"SECTION 4.9 OWNERSHIP
No plot shall be subdivided in such a manner as to
create separate ownership of the two dwelling units permitted in
this, district."
..SECTION 3: That ARTICLE IV of Ordinance No. 72-6 of the City
of Tamarac, be amended so that sub -section 1 of Section 4.7 thereof
shall read as follows:

I. RESIDENTIAL USES
Every plot whose principal use is residential
shall have a rear yard not less than 25 feet in depth."
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, word or sentence be
declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof
as a whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared to be
invalid.

SECTION 5: All. Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, except that the
amendments set forth in Sections I and 3 hereof shall not apply
to any property presently zoned R-2.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
