HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Ordinance O-1972-041This introducedy._._.;, 1Mao sfLa Ll ; 4 Z * CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NO. t--1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 71-9 OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC BY DELETING CERTAIN ALTERNATIVE COMPUTATIONS FOR DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF OFFSTREET PARKING REQUIRED FOR MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND, CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC$ FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That sub -section 2 of Section 4 of Ordinance No. 71-9 of the City of Tamarac be amended to read as follows: 2. Dwelling multiple -family: One and one-half (12) parking spaces for each dwelling unit. In addition to the preceding requirement an offstreet parking area con- taining at least one space for every ten (10) dwelling units shall be provided and made available free for guests and employees which shall be so marked and situated near the main entrance. If, in addition to dwelling units, there are other uses operated in conjunction with and/or part of the multiple dwelling, ad- ditional offstreet parking spaces shall be pro- vided for such other uses as would be required by this section. If such other uses were sepa- rate from the multiple dwelling to the extent of 25% of the offstreet parking specified in this article for bars, restaurantsa dining rooms, night clubs and cabarets." SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, word or sentence be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid. 1.1 SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
