ORDINANCE NO. 74-G
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #73-62 OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC BY AMENDING ARTICLE III, SECTIONS
3.5 and 3.7 THEREOF, AMENDING FRONT YARD AND REAR
YARD SET BACK REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; REPEALING LAWsIN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance #73-62 be amended by amending
Article III, Sections 3.5 and 3.7 thereof, as follows:
"ARTICLE III. ONE -FAMILY DWELLING -- R-lB and R-IC DISTRICTS."
Section 3.5 FRONT YARD
1. Residential Uses
Every plot used for a one -family dwelling shall have
a front yard not less than 20 feet in depth.
Section 3.7 REAR YARD
1. Residential Uses
Every plot used for a one -family dwelling shall have
a rear yard not less then 15 feet in depth, provided,
however, where such rear yard abuts. a golf course,
public park, or other open space which is properly
zoned, platted and restricted to limit such facility
to the open space use, then the required rear yard
depth may be reduced by 50%, but shall not be less
than 8 feet.
SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other
than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its final passage.
