CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS 70-45
72-48 and 73-54 OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC BY
ADDING TO SECTION 11 THEREOF AN AMENDMENT
PERMITTING CHAIN LINK FENCES IN THE
WOODLANDS VILLAS SUB -DIVISION, PROVIDING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; REPEALING LAWS IN CONFLICT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 70-45 of the City of Tamarac
prohibits the use of chain link fences in the City of Tamarac
with certain exceptions, and
WHEREAS, The "Woodlands Villas Sub -division" is,
unlike most other subdivisions in the City, designed for
family development, without common maintenance, and
WHEREAS, the numerous resident homeowners have
requested the right to use chain link fences for their yards to
provide safe play areas for their children. and pets, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance Nos 72-48 and 73-54 amended
Ordinance No. 70-45 by providing an exception therefrom for
the"Heathgate" and "Sunflower" subdivisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
purposes of the prohibitions on the use of chain link fences
contained in Ordinance No. 70-45 would not be impaired by the
granting of the requested exceptions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 70-45 and
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 72-48 and of Ordinance No. 73-54
be and the same are hereby amended by adding thereto the fol-
lowing sentence:
"Chain link fences shall be permissable in the Woodlands
Villas sub -division, subject to all of the other regulations
and limitations contained in this Ordinance and /or contained
in the zoning ordinances applicable to such sub -divisions."

SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, word or
sentence be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof, other than the part declared to be
invalid.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
