ORDINANCE No.
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS CONTIGUOUS
TO THE PRESENT BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC; SUBJECT TO RATIFICATION BY THE
REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AND
BY THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF THE TERRITORY
TO BE ANNEXED; PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE
OFFICIAL CITY MAP TO REFLECT THE CHANGES IN
MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES; AND, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the lands described herein are contiguous to the
present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the City Charter provides a method
for annexation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest
of the City of Tamarac to integrate said lands into said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That the lands described in the exhibit attached
hereto and marked Shaker Village Phase One shall be annexed
into and form a part of the City of Tamarac upon the ratification
thereof by referendum votes as set forth in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 2: That on July 9, 1974, the City of Tamarac
shall submit to a separate vote of the registered electors of
the City of Tamarac and of the territory to be annexed, the
approval of the said annexation. Said territory shall not be
annexed unless such annexation is approved by a majority of the
registered electors actually voting in such election in said
territory and the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: The form of ballot and voting places shall
be established by the Election Board of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: The election shall be held under the supervision
of the Election Board of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its final passage.
SECTION 6: That upon the ratification of the annexation in
the referendum election described above, the said territory
shall forthwith be and become a part of the City of Tamarac
and the City Engineer shall within thirty (30) days thereafter
alter and amend the official City Map to show the inclusion
of said territory within the municipal boundaries.

A parcel of land in Section 11, Township 49 South, Range 41 East, FORT
LAUDERDALE TRUCK FARMS, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in
Plat Book 4, Page 31, of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida,
said parcel being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of a line 53.00 Ft. North of
and parallel with the South line of said Section 11, with a line 880.00 Ft.
East of and parallel with the West line of Tracts 10 and 15 of said
Section 11;
THENCE N.89°02'05"W. along the said line 53.00 Ft. North of and parallel
with the South line of Section 11 a distance of 448.50 Ft.;
THENCE N.00°06'02"W. 46.61 Ft. to a point of curvature of a tangent curve
concave to the West;
THENCE Northerly along the arc of said curve, to the left, having a central
angle of 21°59'36" and a radius of 871.83 Ft. for an arc distance of 334.66 Ft.
to a point of tangency;
THENCE N.22005'38"W. along a line tangent to the last described curve a
distance of 561.46 Ft. to a point of curvature of a tangent curve concave
to the East;
