ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #73-32,
PROVIDING REQUIREMENTS FOR REAL ESTATE
SIGNS IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; CON-
TAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
SECTION 1: That Section 16 (A) (1) of Ordinance #73-32 of the
City of Tamarac be amended to read as follows:
SECTION 16: Permissible Signs.
(A) Single Family Residential Use Districts.
1. One non-illuninated real estate sign by owner or his
agent, not to exceed four (4) square feet, shall be permitted on a plot
provided that such sign is located at least ten (10) feet from the street
abutting the plot, provided also that said sign is removed immediately
after a sale or a rental has been made. Corner properties are allowed
one (1) sign per street front and golf course lots are allowed one (1)
sign in the rear yard. No permit is required for the above signs.
"Open for inspection" signs are permitted not to exceed four (4) square
feet, only when the owner or agent is on the premises. If a sign in
violation of this Ordinance is removed by the City, the owner or agent
may reclaim said sign within fifteen (15) days following payments:
For a sign less than six (6) square feet - $10.00
For a sign six (6) square feet or more - $20.00
SECTION 2: That Section 16 (B) (1) of Ordinance #73-32 of the City
of Tamarac, Florida be amended to read as follows:

(B) Town House, Duplex or Apartment Districts.
1. One non -illuminated real estate sign by owner or his
agent, not to exceed four (4) square feet, shall be permitted on a plot
provided that such sign is located at least ten (10) feet from the street
abutting the plot, provided also that said sign is removed immediately
after a sale or a rental has been made. Corner properties are allowed

one (1) sign per street front and golf course lots are allowed one (1)
sign in the rear yard. No permit is required for the above signs.

ing payments:

SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or
any portion hereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by
a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall
not effect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whale or any part
hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
