CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 7q- 3
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FROM B-1 to B-2; PROVIDING FOR
AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REFLECT
SUCH CHANGE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council
of the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in
accordance with the applicable law of the time and place of public
hearing regarding the zoning of theproperty described herein, and
the said public hearing has been held in accordance with the notice
and the public has been given an opportunity to be, and has been,
heard; and the Council has examined and investigated the request
for the zoning herein and has received the recommendation of the
Zoning Commission of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition No.
9--Z-74 by the City Council pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof are hereby rezoned from
B-1 classification to B-2 classification subject to site plan
approval.
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Tamarac shall be changed to reflect this change of zoning,
said change to be initialed by the Mayor and the City Clerk,
together with the effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED of a public hearing before the
City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, on the
26th day of June, 1974, at 2:45 pm, in,the City Hall
Annex, 5200 Rock Island Road, Tamarac, Florida, to
consider an application to rezone the following described
land from B-1 to B-2.
Descriipt ion :
A portion of Section 33 ,Township 48 South, Range 41 East,
and a portion of Section 4,Tcwnship 49 South, Range 41 East,
Broward County, Florida, more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at the intersection of a line parallel with and
286.0 feet South of, as measured at right angles to the
South Right -of --way line of Canal C-14 of Central and South
Florida Flood Control District, and a line parallel with and
60.0 feet West of, as measured at right angles to -che East
line of said Section 4, Township 49 South, Range 41 East;
thence N 89033135" W, parallel with the South Right -of -Way
line of said C--14 Canal, a distance of 24.72 feet to the
Point of Beginning of this description; thence continuing
N 89033'35"W, a distance of 575.32 feet; thence S 0012116" E,
parallel with the East line of said Section 4, a distance of
400.03 feet; thence S 89033135" E, a distance of 600.04 feet;
thence N 001211611 W, parallel with and 60.0 feet West of the
East line of said Section 4, a distance of 375.31 feet to
a Point of Curvature of a circular curve to the left ; thence
Northerly and Westerly along the are of said curve, having
a radius of 25.0 feet, and arc distance of 38.99 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
Said lands situate, lying and being in Broward County, Florida.
Containing 5.507 acres, more or less.
Otherwise identified as biing situated at the Southwest corner
of N. Unviersity Drive and Southgate Boulevard.
