CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 73-32
BY AMENDING SECTION 14 (B) THEREOF ALLOW-
ING THE ERECTION OF A CONFORMING SIGN ON
A PLOT WHERE OTHER NON -CONFORMING SIGNS
EXIST UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Beautification Committee has recommended
to the City Council of the City of Tamarac that Section 14 (B)
of Ordinance 73-32 be amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION I That Ordinance No. 73-32, Section 14 (B) is amended
to read as follows:
SECTION 14: Non -conforming signs.
(B) No conforming sign or sign structure shall be erected
on the same plot with an existing non -conforming sign until the non-
conforming sign is removed or made conforming; provided, however, a
conforming sign for a business or firm separately owned or operated may
be erected on said firm's portion of the same plot where other non -conforming
signs exist, providing that all other criteria of this Ordinance are met.
SECTION 2. REPEA.LING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT: Should any
section or provision of this ordinance or any portion hereof or any paragraph,
sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision will not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole
or any part hereof other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 3. PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE: All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, as
of the effective date of this ordinance.

SECTION 4. PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall become
effective upon its final, passage.
