CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2-4
OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE, PROVIDING FOR
"REGULAR MEETINGS" OF THE CITY COUNCIL; PRO-
VIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Section 2-4 of the Tamarac City Code
provides for the time the regular meetings of the City Council are
to commence; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to provide an
alternative time at which their regular meetings may commence,
when deemed necessary by the Mayor
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Chapter 2, Section 2-4 of the Tamarac City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 2-4 Re ular Meetings
A regular meeting of the City Council shall be held on
the first Wednesday after the first Thursday of each
month at 10:00 A.M.
Should a regular meeting date fall on a legal holiday,
the meeting shall automatically be reset to the following
day of that month.
A second meeting of the City Council shall be held on
the third Wednesday of the month after the first Thursday
at 10:00 A.M.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to change the beginning
time of the Regular City Council Meetings when he deems
necessary with reasonable notice."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
