CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. Q- 77_
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 76-23 AND
ARTICLE XXII, DIVISION 2, SPECIAL EXCEPTION, SECTION
28-197 OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE BY CLARIFYING THE INTENT
OF THE SPECIAL REGULATIONS MODIFYING SUBSECTION (q)
COMMERCIAL BANKS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida
has been directed by the City Council to review and update the City of
Tamarac's Zoning Code and Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida
has recommended to the City Council that the master list of special
exception uses permitted in specific districts should be revised in order
to clarify the intent of the modification to commercial banks; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida is
desirous of implementing the objectives of the aforesaid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 1 of City of Tamarac Ordinance #76-23 the same
being Article XXII, Division 2, Special Exception, Section 28-197 of the
Tamarac City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
A ...... Same
B...... Same for Subsections (a) - (p)
(q) Commercial banks; B-1 and R-0 zoning districts; the
minimum site area shall be 40,000 square feet.
C...... Same
SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or
portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not effect
the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other
than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, as of the effective date
of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
