HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Ordinance O-1977-022Temp. #475 Revised 6/8/77 Revised 6/20/77 PROPOSED BY : G)L?n INTRODUCED BY: M CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA ORDINANCE N0: 0-77o-L ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE AS AMENDED BY ORDI- NANCE #76-40, ARTICLE II, PAVEMENT,, SECTION 24-13(a) and (b), SPECIFICA- TIONS FOR THE TESTING OF MATERIALS: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That Chapter 24 of the Tamarac City Code which was amended by Ordinance #76-40, Article II, Section 24-13 (a) shall be amended by adding the following language thereto, to read as follows: ......All pavements within the City, except for residen- tial private driveways which are not subjected to the heavy weight of garbage trucks, shall consist of a stabilized, compacted sub - grade, an eight -inch (compacted thickness) number 2 limerock base, a prime coat (unless the base has received no traffic during its curing period), and a one -inch (compacted thickness)type S-1 asphalt concrete surface course. Private residential driveways which are not subjected to the heavy weight of garbage trucks shall consist of 4 inches of limerock on stabilized subgrade and 1-inch of Type III as haltic concrete surface course. SECTION 2: That Chaper.24 of the Tamarac City Code which was amended by Ordinance #76-40, Article II, Section 24-13 (b), shall be amended to read as follows: (b) Carbonate and density tests. As the placement of the lime -- rock base proceeds and the developer indicates the area is com- pacted and ready for testing (carbonate and density tests), the City Engineer shall specify locations (at approximately 500 foot intervals) for testing and the tests to be conducted. Retesting will be required when results indicate non-conformance with these requirements. The City will select and pay the testing laboratory for carbonate and density tests authorized by the City Engineer. The City shall be reimbursed the subdivider or developer, and said reimbursement shall be made prior to any final building inspections being made or the release of an improvement bond, whichever comes first_..
