ORDINANCE NO.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-9 OF THE
TAMARAC CITY CODE WHICH PERTAINS TO THE

CUSTODIAN FOR SOCIAL SECURITY MONIES

WITHHELD BY CHANGING THE CUSTODIAN FROM THE
5
CITY CLERK TO THE FINANCE DIRECTOR; PROVIDING
FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY

OF INVALID PROVISIONS; PROVIDING REPEALER;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1:

Section 19-9 of the Tamarac City Code is amended to
12
add the words underscored and delete the words struck through
13
as follows:

Section 19-9. Custodian of funds; withholding and reporting
15
agent.

The e#ty-elerk finance director is hereby designated

the custodian of all sums withheld from the compensation of officers
18
and employees and of the appropriated funds for the contribution of
19
the city, and the e}t*y-elerk finance director is hereby made the
20
withholding and reporting agent and charged with the duty of
21
maintaining personnel records for the purposes of this article.

SECTION 2: Codification

Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this
24
ordinance. r

SECTION 3: Severabilit
26
Should any section or provision of this ordinance or
27
any portion hereof 'or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
28
by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
29
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole
30
or any part thereof other than the part declared to be invalid.

SECTION 4: Repealer
32
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
33
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 5: Effective Date

This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its final passage.
