CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0- %�%--
AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 17-10 OF THE TAMARAC CITY
CODE WHICH PROHIBITS KNOWINGLY MAKING ANY FALSE COM-
PLAINTS OR REPORTS TO THE TAMARAC POLICE DEPARTMENT;
PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER; PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 17-10 of the Tamarac City Code is hereby
created to read as follows:
Section 17.10. Making False Reports to Police Department.
Whoever makes or submits to the Tamarac Police De-
partment or any member thereof, a report or complaint of any
kind, knowing that such report or complaint is false and un-
true in whole or in part, shall be deemed guilty of a vio-
lation of the City Code and, upon conviction, shall be
punished as provided in Section 1-6 of this Code.
SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this
Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or
any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decisions shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
